VIENNA CLASSICAL MUSIC ACADEMY 7th INTERNATIONAL CHAMBER MUSIC PERFORMANCE COMPETITION -2026
COMPETITION RULES & REGULATIONS
1. The competition is open to musicians of all nationalities and no age limit.
2. Applications must be submitted in accordance with the principles outlined in these rules.
3. By submitting an application, participants are deemed to have accepted all the rules of the competition and to have committed to complying with them.
4. Participants may apply by uploading all required documents via the application section on the official website at www.viennaclassicalmusic.org. Competition results will be published on the competition page of this site and on the Vienna Academy of Classical Music’s social media pages.
5. Participants may enter the competition by performing the entire piece or selected sections of any piece of their choice. There is no time limit.
6. Participants will be evaluated based on the pieces they submit for the competition, and the competition will proceed entirely online. Participants will be considered to have applied to the competition by including the YouTube link of the piece they will perform during the application process.
7. Selected works must be in the Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Impressionist, and Contemporary styles (excluding Pop, Jazz, etc.).
8. Contestants are responsible for monitoring all correspondence sent to the organization’s official email address, viennaclassicalmusicacademy@gmail.com. The organization assumes no liability beyond the announcements it makes.
COMPETITION CONDITIONS
Participants may enter the competition with chamber music ensembles. Groups may consist of 2 to 5 participants only. The works submitted to the competition will be evaluated without distinction by category.
1. The competition committee will contact the "group representative" designated by the group and will carry out all procedures through this representative. This representative is responsible for applying to the competition on behalf of the group, completing the application forms, and paying the participation fee. The competition entry fee is a fixed amount for the entire group; it must not be paid separately by individual members and should be collected and paid by the group representative.
2.Groups participating in the competition may take part using Classical music instruments.
3.All names and information of the group members must be filled in completely in the application form.
4.The performance video submitted for the competition must not contain any sound editing, audio engineering, or any form of video editing. The work must be performed in a single take within the specified time, without any technical intervention. If any such modifications or interventions are detected, the participant(s) will be disqualified from the competition.
5.At the conclusion of the competition, the same prize may be awarded to more than one group, with the exception of the Grand Prize.
6.All articles in this specification may be modified by Viennaclassicalmusicacademy if deemed appropriate. Participants declare and undertake that they accept this condition.
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR PARTICIPATION (Every member of the Group)
* ID of the participants.
* Resume and contact information of the participants (e-mail, telephone)
* Photo of the participants at least 300 dpi resolution
* YouTube link of the performance. There is no time limit.
* Confirmation letter and parental identity stating that he/she will participate in the contest received from their parents for participants under the age of 18.
* A receipt confirming that the competition participation fee has been paid using one of the payment methods specified on the website. The payment must be made by the group representative, who is responsible for collecting the participation fees from all group members and submitting a single payment on behalf of the entire group. Individual participants must not make separate payments.
* It is not possible for the participants to impose any copyright or restriction on all audio and video recordings at each stage of the competition organized by the organization. All broadcasting rights of the content belong to the institution organizing the contest.
PARTICIPATION FEES FOR THE COMPETITION
The participation fee for this competition is €25.00 per person for group entries.
Groups may consist of 2 to 5 participants only.
PRIZE INFORMATION
There is no cash prize in the competition.
The competition will be conducted entirely online, and participants are required to submit their applications by providing a YouTube video link.
The submitted video must not contain any form of editing or acoustic/electronic enhancement or manipulation. If any such modifications are detected, the participant will be disqualified from the competition.
Grand Prize Award
The group selected for the Grand Prize will be awarded the opportunity to perform at a prestigious concert venue in Vienna, as designated by the organizing committee.
The Grand Prize will be awarded only to group which fully satisfy the competition's evaluation criteria and receive unanimous full scores from all members of the jury. A maximum of one group may receive this award.
The jury reserves the right not to award the Grand Prize if no group meets the required standards.

2nd Prize Award:Vienna Classical Music Academy Chamber Music Performance Category 2nd prize certificate (every member)
3rd Prize Award: Vienna Classical Music Academy Chamber Music Performance Category 3rd prize certificate (every member)
Jury Special Prize: Vienna Classical Music Academy Chamber Music Performance Category Jury Special prize certificate (every member)
Honorable Mentions:Vienna Classical Music Academy Chamber Music Performance Category Honorable Mention certificates(every member)
* Participants, there is no right to appeal to the competition process and results.
* Award winners cannot transfer their rewards and rights to others.
JURY EVALUATION
* The works will be evaluated by the determined juries and the decisions made are final and cannot be changed.
* The jury is not required to provide personal feedback and comments on participating performances..
* Contact about the competition with the members of the jury is definitely a reason for disqualification.
